Chase and Mama both had the day off on Monday for Columbus Day. Mam dropped Chase off at Nanaw's house at eight so she could run an errand. She was back by nine and they left for the zoo. The weather was beautiful but unfortunately, Nanaw got tired out by walking up all the hills and had to rest a lot. Next time she goes to the zoo, she's going to rent one of the scooters to drive around. They had a wonderful time visiting with the lemurs -- that was their main goal for going to the zoo. The last time Mama and Chase were there, they couldn't find the lemurs. They found two precious ring-tailed lemurs inside and spent a lot of time watching them run around their habitat. Then they went to the outdoor habitat and found lots more lemurs. Two baby lemurs were especially fun to watch. After the lemurs, Mama and Chase went to see the elephants and the penguins. Nanaw was really tired out so she went to wait for them by the gift shop. Mama bought Chase a stuffed turtle that he named Joey. Mama wouldn't let him get any more lemurs. They had Taco Bell for lunch, and then Mama left Chase with Nanaw while she went shopping.
