Chase’s Saturday adventure was a road trip up to Uncle Mike’s house. In the afternoon, Mama, Chase and Nanaw drove up to see Uncle Mike and some of Chase’s cousins. Nanaw took along Chase’s container of "bee-byes" and his colors and coloring books so he’d have things to do. He ran around the house and also played with his toys. At the end of the visit, Mama, Chase, Uncle Mike, Aunt Becky and Nanaw went to Helfer’s Bakery in Florissant to visit Nichole at work. Chase seemed to have a great time running around the store, which to Nanaw’s surprise is located in the building that used to be the 7th Street Meat Market, one of Nanaw’s favorite restaurants from long ago. Mama bought doughtnuts and a cheese Danish as treats for the ride home. On the way home, the plan was to drive over the new Stan Musial bridge but Mama and Nanaw couldn’t find the correct exit so this will have to be an adventure for another day.
