In the morning, Chase and Nanaw spent two hours downstairs at "school." Chase seemed delighted to spend so much time at "school." He colored, played with his new alphabet banner, played with his two sets of alphabet letters and danced to the keyboard music. Nanaw made him a set of alphabet cards and number cards with the blank playing cards she had from her job as a classroom math aide many years ago. Chase seemed to really like the cards and played with them for quite awhile. As part of her new cleaning-up project, Nanaw cleaned out a drawer in the rolltop desk for Chase to store his upstairs coloring supplies in. When Nanaw showed it to him, Chase opened the drawer and took out the box of colors and his coloring books and sat down on the floor and began to color – he knew exactly what to do.
