On Saturday afternoon, Nanaw came over for dinner. Chase was playing outside while Daddy grilled onion burgers. Chase and Nanaw ran around the back yard, playing with the tools in Chase’s toolbox, riding in the wagon and swinging on the swing. At dinner, Chase ate some of the hamburger, dipping it in ketchup; he also had corn and lots of juice. For dessert, Mama served sliced strawberries with Redi-Whip, out of the can. Chase seemed to really like that. After dinner, everybody went outside to play with Chase’s new bubble gun that Mama bought for him. It shoots out bubbles within bubbles and Daddy made some huge bubbles for Chase to pop. After the bubble fun, Mama tried on the shorts and shirts she’d bought for Chase to make sure they fit. She did it on the big bed, which Chase thinks is his trampoline. Mama had a bit of trouble capturing the bouncing Chase so she could try on the clothes.
