Chase’s adventure today was going to Tesson Ferry Laptime. He was the oldest one there by almost a year, and this will probably be his last time there. He runs around everywhere so much and so fast that Nanaw is afraid he’ll run into the other, smaller boys and girls. Before Laptime, Chase and Nanaw had gone grocery shopping at Walmart, which Chase seemed to enjoy. In the afternoon, after Chase’s nap, Chase and Nanaw played in Chase’s room. Nanaw read Chase a Wee Wisdom story about a little Eskimo boy named Ennok. A couple of times, Chase misplaced Tee-Tee in his room, and he’d call out, "Tee—Tee, are you?" meaning "Tee-Tee, where are you?" – very cute. Nanaw is trying to think of ways for Chase to play with other children now that he’s too old for Laptime. He’s not quite ready to sit quietly at story time so Nanaw thinks she’ll try doing some practicing with Chase of sitting quietly in a chair to listen to a story – maybe that will work.
