Monday was the annual ICS Labor Day picnic. Mama worked in the penguin and fish booth with Brady's mom for a couple of hours. Then Daddy brought Chase up to the picnic. Mama says Chase and Brady spent a really long time jumping in the bounce houses and had a wonderful time. It was very hot outside, and little Chase was sweating profusely. Nanaw got there about 2 o'clock. Mama showed Nanaw the penguin and fish booth. It was right next to the duckling booth where Mrs. Herrmann was working. Mrs. Herrmann gave Nanaw a hug. Mrs. Herrmann said she misses her grandmas who work in her class, and Nanaw asked her if the first grade teachers ever used volunteer. Mrs. Herrmann said yes, for the children to read to, and that Nanaw should ask Mrs. Neff about it. She said Mrs. Neff is very sweet. Mama took Nanaw into the remodeled church where they were having booths and books and desserts. The church is very pretty. Nanaw bought some yummy fudge and a Barbara Delinsky book for Mama. After the picnic, Nanaw went to Chase's house and sat downstairs with him and watched him while he played the video game Minecraft. It was very cute to watch.
