When Nanaw dropped Chase off at school, she wished him good luck on his spelling test. He got 20 out of 20 so the good luck worked. He took the test on Where Is the Great Barrier Reef? and got 8 out of 10 points. After school, Chase and Nanaw studied for his English and social studies tests on Friday. They each took the comprehension and vocabulary tests and then graded each other’s papers. They both got 100% A+. Then they studied the states. Chase wrote the names of all fifty states on a blank map for the social studies test. Then Chase tested Nanaw on the state capitals and she didn’t do so well. She’s going to have to study. Yesterday Chase told Nanaw about the paper prayer box they made in religion class. In the box they put a slip of paper for each family member. Chase had slips for himself, Daddy, Mama, the dogs and cats, Grandma Pat and Nanaw. Every night Daddy and Chase will each draw a name out of the box and say a prayer for that person. Mama picked Chase up at 4:20 to go for his second hockey evaluation. After this, Chase will be assigned to a hockey team. Mama sent the last picture of Sam overflowing in the little green bed in the office. She was excited because he was cuddling with Sylvester's toys.
