Nanaw read the Good Student Practices to Chase again this morning and told him she would do them with the guys today. He liked that. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, she asked him if he did any of the good practices. He said he did the one about doing his best writing on a worksheet. He said it turned out pretty good. The plan was to go to the Magic House after school because it was early dismissal. At first, Chase wasn’t sure he wanted to go because his stomach didn’t feel so good. In the car, he drank a lot of his chocolate milk and then burped. He said that made his stomach feel better, and they could go to the Magic House. The lady who checked them in asked Nanaw if she wanted to vote for the Magic House in a best national children’s museum contest. Nanaw voted and the lady gave her a coupon for a free cookie from the Magic House food place. Chase wanted to give the cookie to Mama so that’s what he did. Chase and Nanaw had a wonderful time at the Magic House. Except for when the fire alarm went off and made a horrible noise. They had to outside until they found out it was a mistake, and then they went back inside. The places Chase visited included: the science lab, the art room, the craft room (where Nanaw made a house for Tee Tee out of cardboard), the Lego race track, the Splash and Bubbles display, outside in the garden area, the pizza restaurant and the fishing area. Before and after the Magic House, Chase and Nanaw practiced his spelling words in the car on the parking lot ,and he did well. On the way home, he did his AR reading. Before dinner, Mama sent Nanaw a picture of Chase and Daddy playing hockey in the garage.
