Chase did 45 minutes of AR reading on Thursday morning, and he plans to do another 45 minutes on Friday morning to make up for forgetting to do his AR reading on Wednesday. Mama sent along some leftovers from last night's dinner of Cheeseburger Hamburger Helper for Chase's lunch, and he really liked having that. School went well today. Chase and Nanaw did a page of multiplication problems, and then did the division flash cards, Then they did state capitals, the Xplor magazine, a writing organization worksheet, a conjunctions test, angles and lines worksheet, researching a topic (Chase chose the Titanic), math patterns, math word problems, and word definitions. Mama came to pick Chase up at 4:30. He and Daddy were going to the Legion park for baseball tryouts. Chase had a good attitude about the tryouts, and didn't seem nervous or anxious about them. Mama told Nanaw that the tryouts went okay, although the boys pitching for them were really good pitchers so it was difficult for the boys to get hits off them.
