Chase and Nanaw bundled up and went for an early morning walk in the chilly air. Chase’s first adventure of the day was going to Clayton Laptime. For the first time since she started bringing books and toys to Laptime to keep Chase occupied, Nanaw left the Elmo backpack with the stroller. Chase paid attention and participated during the stories and songs – excellent job! Chase fell asleep on the drive home from Laptime and took a long afternoon nap. After his nap, Chase went to "school." He played with the keyboard, watched the Elmo Halloween DVD (again!), played briefly with the markers so that he didn’t get them on his clothes again, threw the flashcards around the room, played with the Christmas song book and the Sesame Street school bus. Chase’s second adventure of the day was a shopping trip to Once Upon a Child with Mama and Nanaw. Mama bought athletic pants for Chase to wear with his Carpenter jersey for his Halloween costume, plus two pairs of jeans and a snowsuit – jacket and pants. The final adventure of the day was dinner from KFC – and Nanaw was invited!
