Chase’s adventure today was supposed to be a road trip out to Aspenhof so Nanaw could winterize the A-frame. But instead, Chase and Nanaw went to Nanaw’s church to help set up e-mail for Mary the church secretary. They were there for an hour and a half, and Mary entertained Chase while Nanaw worked on the computer. Chase was quite charming and well-behaved, and Mary says she thinks he’s cute and sweet and smart. At the end of the visit, Chase got a little antsy, so Nanaw gave him her iPod Touch so he could look at his flashcards, and that made him happy. It also impressed Mary that Chase knew how to work the iPod. In the afternoon at school, in addition to his regular activities, Chase decided to dump the box of flashcards all over the floor – he seemed to have a great time doing it. So Chase and Nanaw are going to try their Aspenhof adventure again tomorrow.
