Chase's adventure for Wednesday was a trip to Powder Valley. First, Chase and Nanaw walked on a new trail called the Tanglevine Trail. It's one third of a mile long and is mostly flat. Chase had a grand time running far ahead of Nanaw, no matter what Nanaw said. After their walk, Chase and Nanaw went into the Nature Center and visited all of Chase's favorite places. Nanaw got one of the library scavenger hunt forms from the main desk. She and Chase went to all the places on the scavenger hunt and filled out the form. Then Nanaw took the form to the main desk to get the secret code for the summer library reading program. The rest of the day was very, very sad. Nanaw had taken the kitty Tyra to the vet because she'd stopped eating and drinking water the past couple of days. The vet called and gave Nanaw the bad news that Tyra had feline leukemia, even though the test at the APA had been negative. Chase and Nanaw took TJ and Taylor to the vet to have them tested, and they're fine. After Nanaw took Chase home, she took Chase's kitty Tyler to the vet to have him tested, and he's fine also. Nanaw told Chase that Tyra went to heaven to be with Fa-Fa (his name for Mama's kitty Mufasa.)
