Chase and Nanaw had a major adventure on Wednesday: Nanaw took Chase to the Zoo by herself, for the first time -- usually they go with Mama or with Mama and Daddy. It turned out to be a wonderful visit and a beautiful day for the Zoo. For their first activity, Chase and Nanaw rode the train all around the Zoo. Then they started looking at animals. They saw elephants, tigers, cheetahs, rhinos, hippos, fish, chimpanzees and monkeys. They also saw the polar bear just added to the Zoo's population -- that was very exciting. They went to the Children's Zoo where Chase "broomed" the goats (broomed is Chase's word for brushed). He did a really good job and enjoyed goats. Next they went into the Children's Zoo building where Chase played on the sand tables and watched the jelly fish swimming around in their aquarium. Nanaw bought a big bag of kettle corn for them to share -- Chase loves popcorn and he was very excited about that.
