Mama had the day off from work so she took Chase to school. Mama spent most of the day wrapping Christmas presents and watching TV, mostly Law and order. Nanaw picked Chase up from school, and she was so glad to see him -- she'd really missed him. On the way home, they stopped at Schnuck's so Chase could go to the bathroom. Then they went to the post office; Nanaw bought Christmas stamps and then finished getting her Christmas cards ready for mailing. Chase had a good time running around the post office lobby and looking at everything. Next, they went to Hallmark to get the snowman and dog musical display for Mama's birthday present. Chase had a good time at Hallmark also; he walked around the store by himself looking at everything while Nanaw was looking at cards. Nanaw tried to turn on the musical thing but she couldn't get it to work. Then Chase looked at it and turned it over so the bottom was showing and said "Switch!" Sure enough, the button on the front worked when the switch on the bottom was turned on. When they got to the car, Chase wanted to play with Nanaw's iPad so she gave it to him. On the way home, he said they were going to have a Christmas party when they got home, and that there would be special guests from the net (the stuffed animals in a hammock hanging on the wall of Chase's room.) For dinner, Mama, Daddy and Chase went to Culver's but Nanaw came home. Here's Mrs. Herrmann's entry on Seesaw from yesterday about the class reenacting the first Christmas. Today we re-enacted the First Christmas! Mary and Joseph (Stella and Jackson) along with their donkey (A.J.), knock on the door of the Inn owned by innkeepers (Will and Alaina). Shepherds (Chase, Drew, and Cole) keep an eye on their sheep (Alyssa, Maria and William), when they see the brightest star they’ve ever seen in the sky. Angels (Mattie, Audrey, Reagan, Connor and Amelie) tell the shepherds the Good News! They all come to see the Baby Jesus in the manger. Photo5: Finally, the Three Kings (Koda, Joey and Henry) along with their trusty camel (Sami) bring Frankincense, Myrrh, and Gold (yes, they knew all three!) to the Baby. This was a student directed activity, and they were TERRIFIC!! So amazing that they realize the reason for the season! ♥️👶🏼🐫🐑🌟🎄♥️Merry Christmas!
