Chase was so excited on Thursday morning about taking his lunch to school -- he was taking a ham and cheese sandwich, Nanaw thinks -- she'll verify that with Mama. When Nanaw took Chase to school, Sami was sitting in his chair at the red table talking to his table-mate Stella -- this bothered Chase a bit, and he hung around waiting for Sami to get up out of his chair. Nanaw went to the dentist in the morning, and she has to go get a root canal. She's taking amoxicillin so the tooth should feel better soon. She has an appointment for Tuesday, December 12 (the day of Chase's play at school in the evening) for the root canal. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, Alaina's grandma said when she volunteered in class, they painted clothespins and then put glitter on the clothespins. She also said they had to stay inside in the gym at lunch recess because the coffee shop contractors and Ameren had big trucks around the playground. She said Mrs. Herrmann had a fireplace on the SmartBoard, and when Nanaw asked Chase about it, he said he really liked it. When Chase got home, he played at the kitchen counter with his Cars cars and the slime/Barf/Flarp -- he loves playing there with all that stuff.
