Chase was happy to go back to school on Tuesday, after having to go home sick on Monday. He was excited because he was going to get to do his shining student presentation. Nanaw returned the shorts he borrowed to Mrs. Epplin in the office, and Chase gave his Funderware contributions to Mrs. Hermann. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, Mrs. Herrmann gave her two bags of books: one was for Christmas and the other one was for now. Chase also brought home gloves, homework and some kind of paper plate craft that he said he needed to finish. He fell asleep on the way home and slept for a little while when they got home. Then he played with his shining student toys and watched Chase TV. In the evening, Daddy went bowling, and Mama, Chase and Nanaw had an adventure: They drove around looking at Christmas lights. Chase called it a drive-thru -- Mama and Nanaw thought that was very funny. The lights were beautiful, especially at what Chase calls the Music House.
