Today was Chase's big George Washington day. Chase was so excited about his costume and says he wants to keep it forever. He also wants to get the boots and wig that go with it. He wore the costume to school, with his uniform underneath. When Nanaw took Chase to school, the boys and girls in his classroom were really pumped up about the day. They were going to have a parade around the school to show off their costumes. Then they were going to a nursing home in Columbia to put on a biography program for the residents. Nanaw went to the program, and it was awesome. The boys and girls did an amazing job, and Nanaw was so impressed with how well they'd learned all their lines and songs. Chase said his part with Lizzie, who was dressed as Amelia Earhart. Amelie in the other second grade class also dressed as Amelia. The two classes had two Albert Einsteins, three Abraham Lincolns, plus lots of other influential people. After school, Chase and Nanaw went to Chase's house so Nanaw could do her laundry there. Then they went to Nanaw's house, and Chase was happy to play on the laptop. When he got home, he had math homework and reading to do before he went to baseball practice. He's a busy little fellow.
