Monday was Columbus Day, and Mama was off from work, and Chase was off from school. So they had a day of adventures with Nanaw. Their first adventure was going to Pumpkin Blossom Hill, a pumpkin farm about 35 minutes from Columbia, on the other side of Redbud. It has a Thomas the Train, a yellow submarine, a corn maze, a stock tank full of corn kernels, a stock tank full of plastic balls, a big slide and some fun seesaws. Chase led Mama and Nanaw through the corn maze and did a really good job. They didn't get lost. Mama bought two pumpkins, and Nanaw bought one. Next, they went to Michael's. It was time for lunch so they went to Jack in the Box. Nanaw and Mama each got tacos. Nanaw wanted a pumpkin spice shake but the shake machine was broken. So she had cheese cake instead -- which was yummy. Then they went to a Halloween store in the old Toys R Us store. Mama bought a cool Jack Skellington throw. Next, they went to Walmart, and Nanaw bought Chase two Minecraft toys. Mama e-mailed Nanaw a digital copy of Chase's school photo -- it's the first photo below and is very cute. Nanaw made a crafty caterpillar for Chase because the caterpillar Daddy found in the garage for him went to heaven to be with the first caterpillar.
