Tuesday was a day of major excitement: It was Chase's field trip to the Zoo. Mama and Nanaw went along as chaperones. In their group was Evie and her mother Laura as another chaperone, Emmalynn and AJ. Everybody had a wonderful time. One of the activities was a zoo bingo game, finding things like cold-blooded animals, animals from Asia and Africa, animals with scales, etc. Chase's group found all of the things on the bingo card. In the morning, the two first-grade classes had a class about habitats, without the chaperones. Everybody brought their lunch and sat at the Lakeside Café to eat. At one point Chase's group rode the train to Red Rocks. Emmalynn was very much in charge of the group, and it was cute. The group saw almost all the animals at the Zoo; it was the most comprehensive visit that Mama, Chase and Nanaw ever had. Chase seemed to have a lot of fun with his friends -- it was very cute to watch.
