When Chase got to Nanaw's house on Friday morning, he played with his Hot Wheels and Cars cars again. He only had a half day of school on Friday; they got out at 11:20 a.m. Nanaw told Chase about their adventure for the afternoon: They were going to the Magic House to see a members preview of the Thomas display. When they got home, Chase showed Nanaw a picture he'd drawn during free draw at school of Mama, Daddy, Chase, Nanaw and the two dogs. He forgot Tyler so he added him in at Nanaw's house. Nanaw made a copy for herself. Next, Nanaw fixed Chase's lunch and watched her soap opera, and then they went to the Magic House. Their first stop was the science lab where Chase discovered a new science experiment to do: putting corn starch and water together to make a blobby paste that formed a solid and then trickled down. Chase was very excited about that. Next, they went to the Thomas display. Chase was also excited about that. He played on the huge train table for a long time. He found two really cool aquarium train cars that light up -- awesome. After the Thomas display, Chase and Nanaw went out into the garden, where Chase waded in the stream. On the way out, they stopped to see the ball display. When they got home, Chase and Nanaw did the corn starch experiment, much to Chase's delight. He loves his experiments!
