Chase was excited to take his R2D2 lunch bag for the first time today. Unfortunately, he left it somewhere at school. He thinks it might be in the lost and found, and he and Nanaw are going there tomorrow to look for the lunch bag. Mama was not too happy when Chase and Nanaw gave her the bad news about the lunch bag. There was more bad news. Chase left his green folder at school with information on reading and spelling. And more bad news -- Chase got a 2 on his spelling test, rather than a 3. He spelled lunch with 2 n's. Chase's book order came to day, and he was most excited about the shark and the shark book. There was a science experiment to do with the shark. You put baking powder in the empty place under the dorsal fin, then put it in water. The baking powder makes the shark move up and down in the water. It's totally cool, and Chase was very excited about it. After the shark fun, Chase played with Choo-Choo Charlie and the tiny Thomas trains. Then Chase and Nanaw went downstairs and played with the Thomas table and Thomas trains. When Nanaw took Chase home, she took Sidney Crosby with them because he had a vet appointment at 5:30. When Nanaw got Sidney to the vet, he escaped out of the pet taxi -- three times! Three times Nanaw had to chase him around the building. The third time, Dr. Ryerson was coming out the door and she helped Nanaw catch Sidney and get him inside. The vet people calmed Sidney down and sprayed some calming stuff in the room and on a blanket for him. Next time, Nanaw will have Mama help her with Sidney the way she helps with Charlie.
