On Saturday afternoon, Nanaw had her high school reunion out at the Old Hickory Country Club in St. Peters. (On Friday, Nanaw took a reconnaissance trip out there and got well and truly lost in St. Charles. She took highway 94 east instead of highway 94 west. But it all worked out well because Nanaw figured out a shorter way to go.) Nanaw's big excitement of the day was that in the evening, Chase was coming for a sleepover. On Friday at Chase's insistence, Nanaw ordered the Dog Man book from Amazon, and it was there waiting for Chase when he got to Nanaw's house. He was so excited about it. He read it right away and then read parts of it out loud to Nanaw. For dinner, Chase and Nanaw had pot roast with carrots and potatoes. Chase ate an amazing amount of pot roast (and so did Nanaw). Chase is writing his own Dog Man comic book, and he worked on that for awhile. Chase and Nanaw also played with Legos on the kitchen counter and made a three room house for his Roblox guys -- great fun! In the evening, Chase watched Odd Squad movies on PBS. Nanaw kept Chase up till 11 p.m.-- bad Nanaw.
