Chase had the day off from school on Tuesday, and he and Nanaw had lots of adventures. Their first adventure was going to the Ninja Warrior playground at Suson Park. There weren't many children there, and that made Chase very happy. There was a possibility that Chase's friend from school William was going to come also so he and Chase could have a play date. But unfortunately, William's mother said William likes to sleep late when he doesn't have school so he wasn't coming. Chase was disappointed, and Nanaw felt bad for him. But eventually, he was okay. Chase and Nanaw went to see the animals and that was fun. They saw two tiny, tiny baby goats that were darling. After Suson, Chase and Nanaw went to the Florissant library to play with the Waldo TV game. There was only one little very nice boy there, and that made Chase very happy. The last time Chase and Nanaw went to the Florissant library, the children wouldn’t let Chase play with the TV. They just hogged it the whole time Chase waited to play. Chase and Nanaw had fun playing Where's Waldo? Then Chase played the Hungry Caterpillar for a long while and saw the cocoon and butterfly for the first time -- very exciting. When they left the library, Nanaw wanted Chase to play on the playground but Chase read the sign and said it was for ages 3 to 5 only. Nanaw told Chase he could pretend to be 5 but he said that wouldn't be legal. Next, they went to Manchester Schnuck's for lactose-free cottage cheese. Good little Chase reminded Nanaw that she accidentally forgot to ring up his Mike & Ike's candy. Then they got gas and went to the Telegraph Road library. They did the September scavenger hunt and got a bookmark. They also checked out three more books for Chase to read -- a Magic Schoolbus book and excitingly enough, two new Hungry Caterpillar books.
