Chase and Nanaw had an unexpected fun adventure on Monday morning before school. Chase got out the Hot Wheels they bought at Walmart on Friday. It turns out that they're color changing cars, like the Cars cars. Chase and Nanaw got out bowls for hot and cold water and had a great time getting the cars to change colors. On today's trip to Walmart, Nanaw bought the only Hot Wheels color changing car that Chase didn't have -- a red one. She also went to the bank and got a green sucker for Chase, plus money. She forgot about needing money for birthdays and Mother's Day so she'll have to go back to the bank again. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he told her that he'd made his Star Pupil presentation today. He told the class about all the pictures and about the document he'd written about himself. He said he didn't have any homework; he did his math homework in class. His AR reading book was at home so he did his AR reading in the Zombie goldfish book that he has here at Nanaw's house. The last picture below is of a beautiful cardinal that visited Nanaw's deck.
