Daddy had the day on Thursday for his birthday so he took Chase to school. Nanaw missed seeing him in the morning. But Nanaw got to pick him up from school so that was good. He was wearing a fancy white shirt and fancy shorts -- he was dressed as country club. The students and teachers (and principal) could choose to wear country club or country. From what Nanaw could see, most of them chose country. Chase got 100% on his spelling test -- Yay! Chase did his AR reading at Nanaw's house and then they studied for his reading test. Nanaw found questions and vocabulary online, and they studied those. Nanaw also sent them home for Mama to do with him. After Nanaw took Chase home, she and Mama went to KFC in Waterloo to get chicken for Daddy's birthday dinner. Mama also baked him a yellow cake with chocolate frosting. After dinner, Nanaw and Chase went outside and played ball with his catchers things. It was great fun.
