On Tuesday morning, Chase played the recorder for Nanaw, playing the songs that he'll play at the band concert on Thursday evening. Nanaw was early to pick up Chase so that he wouldn't worry about Nanaw not being there. Evie's mom was there, and she has laryngitis. She's our weather lady, and I asked her if cold weather would be back. She managed to squeak out that it would be cooler next week. Chase said he didn't have any homework. He didn't want to study spelling with Nanaw after school. He said he would study spelling with Mama tonight and then with Nanaw after school tomorrow. He has early dismissal tomorrow but doesn't want to go anywhere. He played the recorder again for Nanaw. Mama said Chase has a baseball tournament Saturday morning. The first game is at 9 a.m. and the second one is at 10:45 a.m. Nanaw told Mama she would go out to the little house on Friday evening after she drops off Chase and spend the night. She'll come back early Saturday afternoon. She hasn't spent the night at the little house for over a year. She didn't stay overnight last year because of all the health challenges.
