Nanaw took Chase to school on Thursday morning, before her dentist's appointment. On the way to the dentist, she noticed that her Check Engine light was on. After the dentist, Nanaw went to Dobb's and asked them to look at the car. They said they couldn't do it today but could on Friday or Saturday. Lars almost got left behind but Nanaw remembered him in time and rescued him from the Escape. The Dobb's manager drove Nanaw home. Mama picked Chase up from school and dropped him off at Nanaw's. Chase and Nanaw studied for the two tests he has tomorrow. One of the tests is a vocabulary quiz about words from the book they're reading in class, Narnia. Nanaw thought that the words were really difficult ones for fifth-graders, like turret, repulsive, cordial, ventured, gluttony, gloating, solemn, lithe, vermin, and sulkily. Chase sort of knows the definitions -- hopefully, he'll do well on the test. The other test is on Number of the Stars, another book they're reading in class about the Nazis and Jewish girls hiding out from them titled Number the Stars. Daddy picked Chase up at 5:15. They were going to Brady and Hunter's basketball game at ICS. Then Chase had hitting practice in Affton.
