The plan for Chase’s adventure for today was to go to the Train House – Wednesday is members only day and the Creation Station isn’t as crowded as on regular days. But when Chase and Nanaw got there, the Train House was closed. There wasn’t a sign or anything. Chase was of course very disappointed, and he cried a little. He and Nanaw went to the library on Telegraph Road as a backup adventure. Chase played with several games, including one with large pretend money. He called the bills money and the coins coins – it was cute. His favorite thing seemed to be playing with the basket full of mega blocks. He and Nanaw sat on the floor, and Chase dumped the blocks out of the basket. They built towers and a train and a tunnel. When it was time to go, Chase wanted to check out some Thomas books so they did that. It was the first time Nanaw was able to get him to leave the library without him crying about not wanting to go. At home, before and after his nap, Chase and Nanaw played with his mega blocks, once again building towers and a train and a tunnel. Nanaw promised Chase that he could play blocks with Daddy when he went home and that was exactly what he did.
