Chase and Nanaw had a day of baking adventures on Wednesday. First, they baked Mama’s cherry chip birthday cake. Chase really liked holding the mixer. He licked the bowl and beaters and said yummy and then said the cake smelled good. He licked the frosting also and ate every bite. Next they baked a batch of turtle cookies, one of Mama’s favorites from when she was a little girl. Nanaw also made some for Uncle Mike. The evening’s adventure was going to Joe Boccardi’s for Mama’s birthday dinner. Mama, Daddy, Chase, Uncle Mike, Aunt Becky and Nanaw all went. Chase was happy to have colors and a coloring book there. He ate lots of bread and would have eaten more if Mama had let him; he had fettucine alfredo for dinner. Back at Nanaw’s house, Chase helped Mama open her birthday presents. He especially liked the singing Snoopy and the singing snowmen that Nanaw bought for Mama.
