On Monday, Mama, Daddy, Chase and Nanaw had a major adventure: They went to the Zoo. It was really hot outside but Mama and Nanaw took along bottles of frozen water to keep cool. Mama had made reservations for 9 a.m. a week ago. Because of the coronavirus the Zoo was limiting the number of people that got in. There weren't any paper maps, and many things were temporarily closed, like the Children's Zoo, the Lakeside Café, and lots of other food places. But they all had a good time. Mama was disappointed that she only got to see one elephant. But they found out later that a baby elephant was being born that day, the son of Rani and Raja. The baby weighed 250 pounds. Mama says they have to go back to the Zoo to see the baby. They really enjoyed going to see the penguins and puffins because it was 45 degrees in there. Nanaw was happy to get her bag of kettle corn. Mama bought Nanaw an arctic fox like Chase's; Chase was very excited about that because he'd been talking about it for a couple of days. Mama also bought a cute baby llama for Chase. Chase named his llama Lucky Llama, and he named Nanaw's arctic fox Fluffy Junior, after his arctic fox. Chase had a double header baseball game in the evening. Nanaw drove separately in case she didn't stay for the second game; Mama rode with her to give her directions on how to get there. Chase got three hits in the first game and two hits in the second game. Nanaw didn't stay for the second game. Mama said they didn't get home until almost 10:30 p.m.
