Nanaw had a great day with Chase on Thursday. It was cleaning lady day so Nanaw was rushing around putting things away. The cleaning lady texted she was coming early, and Nanaw just barely got everything done. From now on, Nanaw will work faster and get things done ahead of time. Chase and Nanaw went downstairs to do school while the cleaning lady was there. Surprisingly enough, Chase managed to get all of his schoolwork done just in time to watch Room 9. His favorite teacher on the program was on, and he enjoyed watching her. At the start of school, Chase and Nanaw read the two books Mama sent with Chase today: Bonaparte Falls Apart and one about Ghost and Ghoul going to the witches' house for dinner. That's what the first picture is -- Chase and his stuffed animals listening to Nanaw reading the books. Chase had lunch downstairs -- a ham and provolone cheese sandwich for which he requested an extra piece of cheese. Nanaw is seeing a tiny bit of progress in the subtraction and addition flashcards. Maybe by the time school starts, he'll be able to zip right through them. When he reaches the zipping stage, he's going to give Mama and Daddy a demonstration of how well he knows his addition and subtraction -- fingers crossed.
