The power went out at the little house about 1 a.m. on Sunday morning. It finally went back on around 10 a.m. Nanaw had been planning to drive back over highway 70 and go to Uncle Mike's house for the swim party. But she changed her mind and decided to go home and ride to Uncle Mike's with Mama, Daddy and Chase. They got over there about three p.m. Chase got in the pool and stayed in there most of the time. He had a great time swimming and playing around with Daddy and Mama. Daddy and Mama really liked Uncle Mike's hot tub. Nanaw took pictures of Chase in the pool and of Uncle Mike's German Shepherds Cheyenne and Apache and of his cat Tucker. For the first time ever, Tucker didn't hiss at Nanaw. Uncle Mike grilled onion burgers for dinner, and Aunt Becky made carrot fries, which Chase really liked. For dessert, Aunt Becky had warmed brownies and ice cream. It was a really nice day, and everybody had a good time.
