Chase and Nanaw played baseball on Thursday. Nanaw hit a few balls (with the big, fat bat, of course) but it was mainly Chase slugging away. He really can hit the ball. His Daddy has been coaching him on how to bat, and he's really getting good at hitting. There was another heavy rainstorm on Thursday; it poured down rain. The drain by the driveway got stopped up again but eventually cleared out. School went okay; there are only two more days of school for Chase and Nanaw. On Monday, Daddy is taking the day off work, and he and Chase are going golfing so Chase won't be at Nanaw's house, and they won't have school. Chase was supposed to have baseball practice on Thursday evening but practice was cancelled because of the storm. Mama sent Nanaw a picture of Chase and Tee Tee from three years ago. In the evening Nanaw did her grocery shopping at Waterloo Walmart. She bought two rechargeable lights: one is also a Bluetooth speaker, and the other one is solar in addition to being rechargeable from a wall socket. Nanaw included a picture of the Bluetooth speaker.
