Mama had the day off from work, and Chase had the day off from so school. So Mama, Chase and Nanaw had an adventure together. First, Nanaw had to take Sidney Crosby to the vet. Then Mama, Chase and Nanaw went to Arby's for lunch. Next, they went to Powder Valley. They went for an hour long walk on the Hickory Trail Loop -- 1 1/5 mile. It was fun except for several really steep hills. Nanaw had to do a lot of resting along the way. After Powder Valley, they went to Laumeier Sculpture Park; they went there to see the eyeball sculpture in particular. They walked around and looked at other sculptures. Chase came home with Nanaw, and played on the laptop while Nanaw took a nap. Nanaw gave Chase a snack tray (the last picture below) but got in trouble with Mama because she gave him too much to eat, Mama says. In the evening, Jackson and his mom and dad came over to visit. Chase and Jackson had a great time playing baseball outside in Chase's back yard. Mama fixed yummy tacos for dinner, which Nanaw really enjoyed. After dinner, Chase and Jackson played the Wii downstairs and had lots of fun. Nanaw had a piece of Aunt Jen's birthday cake -- white cake with white icing. Yum!
