On Monday morning, Chase and Nanaw decided they would play with Chase's fishing stuff in the glass bowl when he got home from school. Nanaw got out one of the fishing poles, and they pretended that Tee Tee was fishing. Sidney snuggled up with the Jacks on the living room floor and Nanaw took a picture of him. So after school, Nanaw got out all the fishing stuff and Chase played in the sink with it. Then Chase decided they would catch fish and then go into Chase's room to cook them. That's what they did. They also fixed "sides" at Chase's request, and other food, like chicken and hot dogs. It was really fun playing with Chase, and Nanaw was glad to get him away from the computer for a little while. Nanaw had Chase do his subtraction flash cards and his math page. Then Nanaw discovered that Chase forgot to bring home his reading book. So she found the story and the reading comprehension questions online and printed them out. Nanaw asked Chase when she picked him up if he had his heavy book and his AR book. He said he had his heavy book but didn't have to bring the AR book home. But he didn't bring the heavy book home. Daddy has the idea to let Chase play with his tablet in the evening on the nights he brings his book home but no tablet if he forgets the book. Sort of a motivational approach. Mama and Nanaw thought that was a really good idea. Mama lost the Halloween mask Nanaw made for her. So Nanaw sewed some scraps together so she would have enough Halloween material left to make another mask. Mama was very happy about it.
