On Monday, Mama and Chase had the day off for Columbus Day so they had a day of adventure with Nanaw. First, they went to the little library park. The idea was for Chase to roller blade at the park and Nanaw and Mama were going to watch him. They walked over to the tennis court because that's where Chase wanted to skate. But unfortunately, it started to rain. Mama gave Nanaw the keys to her car, and Nanaw went back to the car to get out of the rain. Then Nanaw got a text from Mama saying Chase was skating in the pavilion. When Mama and Chase came back to the car, Mama said that earlier when they were coming back to the car, Mama suggested that Chase skate in the pavilion. He thought that was a good idea so he did. After skating, they went to the Burger King drive-through to pick up lunch. They took the food back to Nanaw's house and ate there. Then they went to Telegraph Road to get gas and then drove by the library to see if it was open on Columbus Day. Next, they went to Suson Park. It was so wonderful seeing all the animals, especially a black baby goat and a goat on a wooden swing. After the animals, they went to the playground. Chase played on the playground for a long time and had lots of fun. Next they tried to go to the Stuckmeyer's play area on Route 3 but the play area was closed (maybe because of the strong winds). They might go back on October 23 when Mama is off and Chase has a half day. On the way home, they went by way of the castle on New Hanover Road. They looked for the big Stuckmeyer's farm; but it turned out that the farm is at 9204 Bluff Road; it's not on New Hanover Road. So they may try to find it on October 23.
