On Friday, Chase had the day off from school, and Mama had the day off from work. Mama and Uncle Mike were going to spend the day together, going to the tour at the brewery. Uncle Mike stopped by on his way to Mama's house to check on Nanaw's water heater. It has a leak, and Uncle Mike says she should call a plumber and probably have it replaced. As Uncle Mike was leaving, Mama and Chase showed up. Chase played on the computer in the morning and then worked on his homework in the afternoon. He had a big science assignment working on the study guide for Tuesday's science test. He got most of it done. They're going to work on the charts and graphs in class on Monday. He also had questions to answer on the book Restart. Unfortunately, he didn't bring his book home, and Nanaw had already returned her copy to the library. But the Cliff Cave Library had it on the shelf so they went to pick it so Chase could look up answers if he needed to. He also had a math worksheet that he worked on. He has a history test on Tuesday, and Brady's mom emailed the teacher asking how they should study for the test. The teacher answered that the first history test of the year was an open notes test. For the rest of the tests during the year, students will study for the tests in the traditional way. In the evening, Chase and Daddy went to the Columbia Bowling Alley for the end-of-the-year party for his baseball team. Mama stayed home to entertain Uncle Mike -- he was spending the night.
