A funny thing happened Monday morning. When Mama packed Chase's clothes for school, she packed one school shoe and one Croc. So on their way to school, Chase and Nanaw stopped by Chase's house to get his other school shoe. Chase was afraid he would be late to school but he actually got there earlier than usual. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he told her about all his homework He had quite a bit of homework to do. His vocabulary assignment and quiz are due Thursday. He did several pages of the vocabulary work, and Nanaw checked it over. He did well on the vocabulary words. He had a history worksheet to go through. Nanaw read through it and figured out the answers while Chase was doing vocabulary. Chase also had math problems and an English worksheet that he wanted Nanaw to check. He got all the math problems correct and the English worksheet was correct too. He has a book report due October 19, and he chose The Unteachables, the book he just read for AR. He says he has a rubric for the book report. Nanaw learned about rubrics from last year's classes and thinks they're a great idea. A rubric is a guide for a project, report or paper. It explains what is expected and how many points each part of the project, report or paper is worth.
