Chase and Nanaw went to the Museum of Transportation Monday morning – or the Train House as Chase calls it. While they waited for the Creation Station (or the Thomas Tables, as Chase calls it) to open, Chase went into the room with the circus train display. He seemed to have a great time running around the display with the other children. The Thomas Tables room is probably Chase’s favorite thing in the world. He played with the trains for most of the time, sharing the tables and the trains nicely with the other boys and girls – making Nanaw very proud. Toward the end of the time at the Creation Station, Chase played in the kitchen, where he got out a plate and food and made lunch for himself. Then he went down the slide and sorted mail in the post office. At the very end, the ladies in charge of the Creation Station had a parade for the children who’d made buses and trains in the craft area. Chase wanted to be in the parade but he hadn’t done a craft. So the ladies gave him one of their examples, and he carried it around in the parade – very cute. After the Creation Station, Chase and Nanaw rode on the red train twice and on the blue train (that’s what Chase calls it – actually it’s a tram) once. They climbed on the boat and walked around the plane, went into the car display building and into the museum room for the first time. All in all, a wonderfully fun day for Chase and Nanaw. Nanaw came for dinner at Chase’s house – delicious BLT wraps, Caesar salad and watermelon – yummy.
