Chase’s adventure on Thursday was going to the first day of Tot Time. Chase and Nanaw left home a little early so Nanaw took the long way, going on Route 3, the same way they go to Waterloo Walmart. That’s where Chase thought they were going, and he kept saying "Ride Dino," which is what he does at Waterloo Walmart. Chase and Nanaw went to the children’s room in the library before Tot Time began, and Chase played with a little boy named Maddux, who was also going to Tot Time. It turned out that Maddux and Chase shared some of the same attributes: great liking for trains, running around instead of sitting still, fussing when they don’t get their way and a dislike of sharing. Both of them were overactive and fussy during the story. Then at play time after the craft, the both wanted to play with the one train and at first wouldn’t share. Maddux’s mother and Nanaw managed to get them to share, which was a major achievement. In the afternoon, Chase and Nanaw went to Walmart, and Joe the greeter bought Chase a bag of chocolate chip cookies from the bakery – Chase loved them. After Joe him the cookies, Chase rode on horsey and Elmo, much to his evident delight.
