Chase’s adventure today was going to Barnes & Noble to play with the Thomas table and maybe go to story time. Mama had the day off so she and Uncle Mike could go to the Cardinals’ baseball game. At B&N, Chase seemed to have a great time playing with the trains on the Thomas table and being around the other boys and girls. To Nanaw’s surprise, at 10:30 when it was time for story time to start, Chase started walking toward the story area so Nanaw followed behind. Chase had never voluntarily gone to story time. He seemed to have a good time but didn’t seem to be able to sit still. Miss Christine gave the children two cookies each, and Chase said they were "de-wishes." The boys and girls did a craft project with a greeting card, buttons, a smiley face and using a glue stick. Chase never did take a nap today – he chitter-chattered in his bed for almost two hours, and then Nanaw got him up. When Mama and Uncle Mike got home from the ballgame, Nanaw took Chase home. Mama had bought a Percy train and a set of Thomas the Train bedding for Chase. Mama brought a "de-wishes" steak quesadilla from Hooters for Nanaw.
