Chase’s adventure today was the weekly shopping trip to Walmart with Nanaw. Yesterday Mama bought a Percy train for Chase at Walmart and told Nanaw about the new Thomas area in the store. So Chase and Nanaw went to see what it was all about and ended up buying Harold the Helicopter and Spencer the Train – much to Chase’s delight. He held onto them the whole time and even took them home with him in the afternoon to have a sleepover. When Chase and Nanaw got home, Chase played with trains in his room for awhile and then had lunch. Nanaw promised Chase that they would go downstairs and play trains after his nap. And surprisingly enough, Chase took a nice, long nap without much fussing at all. Then after Chase’s nap, he and Nanaw went downstairs to play with trains. In the evening, Nanaw went downstairs and discovered that sometime during the play time, Chase had dismantled the train track set-up from Jane at Mama’s work. So now Nanaw has to put it all together again, if she can figure out how. Daddy was the one who assembled it the first time – Nanaw may have to call on him again.
