Mama took the day off on Friday to spend it with Aunt Becca, so she took Chase to school. In the morning, Nanaw went to the Transportation Museum to renew her membership. The train display was up but not running. Miss Lynn said it wouldn't run till the day after Thanksgiving, and Nanaw told her that they would be there that day. Nanaw had a problem with her garage door shutting crookedly so she stopped by the Electro-Door office to ask them to come look at it. The lady in the office said they were all booked up today but if someone finished early, she would send them over. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he said he didn't have any news for her. He told her that in music, they practiced the songs for the Christmas program. Nanaw told Chase they were going to the cemetery and the library and would do the scavenger hunt and go to the "bending" machine. When they were on their way to the library the Electro-Door guy called, so they went back to Nanaw's house instead of the library. The man fixed the garage door, and Chase and Nanaw went to the library. They did the scavenger hunt and went to the "bending" machine where Chase got Cheez-its. Chase stayed late at Nanaw's house because Mama and Daddy were visiting with Aunt Becca.
