Wednesday is Uncle Mike's birthday, and we're all going out to dinner at Joe Boccardi's. After school, Chase and Nanaw did the excavation thing they bought at Dollar Tree. Chase used Nanaw's little hammer and the digging tool. Inside the white "rock" was a pirate rock. Chase read the directions and they said to wear safety glasses while excavating so Nanaw gave Chase a pair of her reading glasses to wear. He had a great time hammering on the rock, and Nanaw took pictures of him. At dinner, Chase had toasted ravioli, his current favorite dish. Nanaw suggested ordering 12 so he could share with Mama, Daddy, Nanaw, Uncle Mike and aunt Becky. Everybody enjoyed Chase's T Rav. Nanaw had Caesar salad, Mama and Aunt Becky had pizza, Daddy had a fish dish and Uncle Mike had a chicken dish. At Nanaw's house, they had chocolate cake with chocolate icing and chocolate chunk chip ice cream. Mama, Daddy and Chase gave Uncle Mike a navy blue Cardinals hat. Nanaw gave him a lightweight leaf blower, peanut brittle and chocolate covered cherries.
