On Tuesday morning, Nanaw put big safety pins in Chase's coat to keep the lining from coming loose. She's going to sew the sleeves in. When Chase got to school, Mrs. Meyer was just getting there so the classroom was still locked. The boys and girls were standing outside the room, making lots of noise. Mrs. Diewald, the other second grade teacher unlocked the door for them, just as Mrs. Meyer arrived. So all was well. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he told her that one of the safety pins in his coat sleeve came loose so he put it in his pocket. He also said the safety pricked his thumb but it didn't bleed. After school, Chase and Nanaw went to the bank where Chase got one of his green suckers. Then they went to Dollar Tree and spent a long, long time there. Chase decided he and Nanaw had to buy Christmas presents and early birthday presents for Tee Tee. Nanaw and Chase each got a stuffed dog for Tee Tee for Christmas and Hot Wheels for his early birthday presents. Chase also selected toys for himself: a Christmas penguin, an archeology dig toy, a Christmas Tic Tac Toe game, and a Go Fish card game. Next, they went to Waterloo Schnuck's for lactose free cottage cheese. On the way home, Chase fell asleep. When he woke up, he was in a really good mood, which made Nanaw very happy.
