Chase had the day off school on Wednesday. Mama was working at home but Nanaw asked her to drop Chase off so that Mama could carry Nanaw's turkey up from the downstairs refrigerator. Chase watched Chase TV and played on the laptop for a couple of hours in the morning until it was time to go to Powder Valley. He and Nanaw had a good time there, as always, looking at all their favorite displays, doing the scavenger hunt and drawing pictures. They got to see one of the conservation workers feed the fish in the aquarium. He also fed crawdads to Chase and Nanaw's favorite: the turtle in the aquarium. Today the turtle was buried in the gravel up to his neck. Sometimes he buries himself completely. After Powder Valley, Chase and Nanaw went to get gas and stopped at the library to pick up the DVD version of Secret Life of Pets 2. Nanaw got Veggie Straws for Chase from the "bending" machine, and he said they were delicious. So Nanaw texted Mama asking her if she could get some for the snacks in Chase's backpack. Next, they went home for lunch. After lunch, they went to the Magic House. First, they went to the science lab, Chase's favorite place at the Magic House. He did experiments, looked at butterflies and insects under the microscope, played with the topographic sand and made animal footprints in clay. Next, they went to the crafts place and did lots of building and making things. The last place they visited was the art studio where Chase played with the glass where you write with markers. In te evening, Chase went with Mama and Daddy to Auntie LaLa's house. It's a tradition that they go visit on the night before Thanksgiving and watch Uncle Chris make pumpkin pies.
