On Sunday, Chase had two times at church. In the morning, he went to mass with Daddy and Grandma Pat. Then in the afternoon, all second graders had their First Reconciliation ceremony at church. The boys and girls decorated candles with things that were meaningful to them. The boys and girls had their candles lit by the second grade teachers after they made their first confession to one of the four priests there. After the ceremony, there was an ice cream social downstairs. Chase, Mama and Daddy had ice cream with chocolate sauce on it. There were also brownies but they didn't have any of those. On the way back to Chase's house, he invited Nanaw to come over in the evening, like always, he said. So Nanaw said she would bring her salad and some games. She took Weather Bingo and the Christmas Go Fish card game. But it turned out that Chase didn't want to play games. He wanted to play with his little super hero action figures, then his key chain collection and then his magnetic sticks. He and Nanaw had lots of giggly fun.
