Another really good day with Chase. Taking away computer time really works well for getting him to concentrate on his school work. Today he did morning work, spring prep, three pages from the Mrs. Meyer collection, subtraction flash cards, subtraction problems, cursive handwriting practice (capital letters today), and reading two stories in the Journeys reading book. (It has to be turned in to Mrs. Meyer on Thursday; Chase and Nanaw will read the last two stories tomorrow -- then they'll have to find something to read for the daily reading assignment. Chase had lots of butter bread today -- too much, actually. Mama has limited Chase to one piece of butter bread with breakfast and two pieces of bread for a sandwich at lunch. But tomorrow's lunch will be Nanaw's spaghetti and garlic bread sticks. Uncle Mike is coming over to do work for Nanaw's yard. In the afternoon, Chase and Nanaw watered the flowers and plants, and Chase played in the water. Nanaw hopes Daddy finds a wading pool for him.
