On Saturday morning, Mama brought Chase over to Nanaw's house while she went grocery shopping. When they got there, Mama told Nanaw that in addition to rating the movie a 10 out of 10, Chase thanked Mama for his breakfast and then put his cereal bowl and milk glass in the sink on his own without having to be reminded. Mama wondered what was going on with him. Nanaw was out in the front yard watering the plants and bushes when Chase and Mama arrived. Chase decided he wanted to play in the water so Nanaw got out his swimming clothes and towels. She tried to hook up the sprinkler but it was upside down and didn't work. So Chase set up the thing on the hose to make it like a sprinkler. Nanaw promised Chase she would buy a new sprinkler when she went to Walmart that afternoon. He played water baseball while Nanaw watched. He made it like a World Series of two 3-inning games. He played the part of all the players and did a play-play-play announcement as he played. It was an absolute hoot to watch and listen to. He's so creative and so sports-minded. In the afternoon, he had a hockey game and his team won 8 to 2. After Chase left, Nanaw went out to the little house. Someone was at the gate, so she got to drive in without getting out to unlock the gate. As she drove through the gate, she realized that she forgot to bring the new gate key with her. So when she left on Sunday, she would have to sit and wait at the gate until someone let her out. Silly Nanaw!
