Chase did his AR reading in Where Is Stonehenge? on Thursday morning; he had skipped it yesterday because Nanaw forgot about it. Nanaw logged his reading on the library reading program site; he now has 180 minutes or 180 points. The first goal is 500 points or halfway through the program; the prize is a book that Chase can select. Chase asked Nanaw if the second hour of school could include what he called "fun school" -- what he meant was playing educational games on the ABCYA website, and Nanaw said yes. Thursday's schoolwork included reviewing 8 of the 50 state capitals, division flashcards, multiplication and division problems, a punctuation worksheet covering commas, two pages of fraction problems, math measurement problems, a science worksheet about reptiles and amphibians, a science unit on igneous rocks on the science application on Chase's Chrome book, and a social studies chapter on Illinois government officials, also an application on Chase's Chrome book. After all this schoolwork was done, Chase and Nanaw played Math Bingo on the ABCYA website. Chase also played some other games on the ABCYA website. Dobb's called to tell Nanaw that her car wouldn't be done until tomorrow so Mama and Chase didn’t need to take Nanaw to Dobb's to pick up her car. In the evening, Chase had hockey practice.
